We drove up again today for a post-op check-up. Roads still sucked, though not quite as bad. He wants us to come up again tomorrow, so I'll still get my shot at a heart attack from stressful driving.
Jean was of course feeling rather under the weather after the surgery. Today she is feeling a little bit better. We have a couple weeks at least of post-surgical hoo-hah. She needs to keep her face pointed at the floor for two weeks, for instance.
Anyway, that's the big news for now. Hope everyone is having a good holiday.

Hope she feels better soon. And no heart attacks are allowed.
She's got a bit of a road yet, but already is markedly more animated than the day of the surgery. The doctor says there will be followups for weeks, and possible complications that will be dealt with if they occur. Apparently, cataracts are not an unheard of response by the body to this type of surgery.
ReplyDeleteAs for heart attacks, I walked to Fred Meyer twice today to do prescription ferrying, so I finally got some exercise. Still feel crappy and slug-like, but as Jean becomes less dependent on our aid, I can do more for my own health.
